Just because you are sharing an "unpopular opinion" doesn't mean you are in the wrong. Often, it may put you in the position of being the only right one.

More often than not, we say yes to things purely out of fear that missing out on them will cost us, without bothering to consider the cost we are going to pay by taking on these endeavors in the first place.

Changes in life and career trajectories can sometimes sound alarming, but you don't need to be the one to ring the bell.

Being fair may require you to make difficult choices, but its value lies in the fact that you will never be short-changed for doing so.

It's easy to profess our support for a more equitable world- but what we actually need is less talk, and more action.

At the end of the day, as a founder, you may be able to call yourself the CEO of your enterprise, but remember, titles don't make leaders; actions do

"At the end of the day, progress is progress, no matter how small."

Yes, perfection may well be the enemy of progress, but that isn't an excuse to not strive for excellence in whatever you set out to do.

"Let's look at all of the challenges that we have overcome up until now, and look at how far we've come since the start of this year."

No matter how devastating it feels like in the moment, and regardless of all the odds that seem to be stacked against you, none of it signifies that it's curtains for whatever you set out to do.

"Delegating work works- provided the one delegating works too," said Robert Half (founder of the California-headquartered talent solutions company that bears his name), and that's something all of us -entrepreneurs included- would be wise to keep in mind, always.

When an individual or business is feeding you drivel, they're deliberately choosing to disregard the truth for reasons that are almost certainly linked to ensuring their personal gain, and no one else's; that's a showcase of their apathy, plain and simple.

Having a more empathetic approach to the entrepreneurs and the teams behind them would serve us all better in the long run.

There's a quote attributed to legendary American jazz musician Miles Davis that goes: "If you hit a wrong note, it's the next note that you play that determines if it's good or bad."

While our aim should always be to bring our best selves forward in whatever we set out to do, we should remain mindful of not letting our egos rule the show.

Excuses are a curious little thing- sure, they offer us some sort of respite when something doesn't go according to our plans, but they also keep us in our comfort zones, holding us back from taking any action to move past the quandary in front of us.

Given the promise of the new year, don't make the mistake of just waiting and watching any more- opportunities are there for the taking, but remember that it falls upon you to seize those you can capitalize on.

Let's go into 2021 with the knowledge that we've made the best out of the cards we were dealt with- and that if we need to do, we'll do so again.

"I think we need to start getting a lot more comfortable with saying 'I don't know,' and not seeing it as a personal failure, and instead looking at it as being true to who we are, and what we know, in our current circumstances."

Amid the COVID-19 crisis, it can be tempting to think of only the here and now, but remember, your enterprise is something you want to stay for the long haul.

"Take the time to find out what could potentially get you out of the rut you find yourselves in, and then, just follow through on it."
