Arada Acquires Controlling Stake in Abu Dhabi’s Reem Hospital

Arada, a Dubai-based property developer, has acquired a controlling stake in Reem Hospital, Abu Dhabi-based healthcare provider.

The stake, representing more than 80% of the business, was purchased from a consortium that included Investcorp and its affiliates, marking Arada’s entry into the healthcare sector.

The acquisition is part of Arada’s AED2 billion commitment to expand Reem Hospital’s healthcare services across the UAE.

Expansion plans include doubling Reem Hospital’s existing Reem Island facility to 200 beds, adding specialty areas such as women’s health and pediatrics, and developing three new hospitals in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. 

A network of Reem Clinics will also be rolled out across the UAE, including in Arada’s master-planned communities.

The hospital’s original founders, led by Chairman Zaid Al Siksek and Board Member Mansur Ali, will continue to manage the business.
