Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of its “Work from Park” initiative, inviting residents to work remotely from designated public parks. The program will begin in May 2026 with Al Barsha Pond Park serving as the first flagship location.

According to Dubai Municipality, the initiative aims to create multifunctional urban spaces that support evolving work patterns, enhance productivity, and encourage community engagement. The project aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), launched in 2023 by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Group Amana and Letswork. Workspaces will be built off-site and installed within park environments.

Dubai Municipality also confirmed plans to open 35 new parks across the emirate by the end of 2026, covering more than 340,000 square meters and serving 23 residential communities, with a total investment of approximately AED348 million.

These parks will include play areas, sports facilities, running and cycling tracks, food and beverage zones, and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces for community use.

By 2040, Dubai Municipality plans to develop 310 new parks and upgrade more than 220 existing sites.
