H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, said strengthening the resilience of Dubai’s economy remains a key strategic priority as the emirate seeks to sustain growth and adapt to evolving global economic conditions.
Speaking during a visit to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Sheikh Hamdan said the goal is closely aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to build a diversified, innovation-driven economy supported by strong public-private partnerships.
“We continue to work on developing a resilient economic system capable of navigating global shifts by adopting innovative policies and enhancing integration between various sectors, which in turn supports the competitiveness of Dubai’s economy and consolidates its position as a global trade and investment hub,” Sheikh Hamdan said.

He added that Dubai remains focused on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors while maintaining a business-friendly environment that supports growth, investment, and future economic demand.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed DET’s plans to accelerate economic growth across the emirate and directed officials to continue efforts aimed at strengthening economic resilience and maintaining growth momentum. He also underscored the importance of cooperation across government and private-sector stakeholders in supporting Dubai’s status as a global centre for trade, tourism, and investment.
Upon arriving at DET headquarters, Sheikh Hamdan was received by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of DET, and other senior officials. Almarri briefed him on current and upcoming initiatives designed to support economic development across key sectors, as well as the department’s role in responding to recent developments, including efforts related to food security and hospitality.

Referencing the recent Dubai Majlis, which brought together nearly 300 business leaders from across the emirate, Sheikh Hamdan expressed confidence in Dubai’s ability to sustain growth across major sectors and praised DET’s contribution to advancing the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33.
Almarri said Dubai’s coordinated approach, supported by public and private sector stakeholders, has enabled the city to respond quickly to short-term challenges while remaining focused on long-term economic priorities under D33 and its ambition to strengthen its position as a leading global destination for business and leisure.
