UAE Strengthens Global Economic Partnerships; Non-Oil Trade Reaches AED1.937 Trillion

The UAE has signed 38 Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) since launching the program in September 2021, expanding its trade network across Asia, Africa, Europe and other markets.
In a report from Emirates News Agency (WAM), non-oil foreign trade reached AED1.937 trillion in the first half of 2026, while non-oil exports totaled about AED452.8 billion. Trade with countries where the UAE’s CEPAs are in force reached AED304.3 billion during the period, including AED66.1 billion in UAE exports to those markets.
The partnership network includes India, Indonesia, and Türkiye in Asia, and Ukraine and Serbia in Europe. In Africa, the UAE has also recently signed agreements with countries including Kenya, Gabon and the Republic of the Congo.
In July 2026, it concluded CEPA negotiations with Canada in the shortest timeframe under the program, with bilateral trade reaching approximately US$4.2 billion in 2025, up 21% from the previous year.
The CEPA program is part of the UAE’s efforts to diversify export markets and strengthen trade ties with global economies.
