Ghaia Investment Holding, a Saudi investment firm, and Chicago Global, an AI-powered investment intelligence company, participated in Money20/20 Middle East in Riyadh, where the companies discussed the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in financial services, investment decision-making and institutional governance.

During the event, the companies demonstrated Parallax, Chicago Global’s AI-powered investment intelligence platform, which launched in Saudi Arabia earlier in 2026. The platform is designed to support financial institutions with investment research, portfolio construction and risk assessment using real-time analysis of global and local market data.

According to Chicago Global, Parallax processes more than one billion data points each week and covers over 65,000 companies across 48 global markets, including 387 publicly listed companies in Saudi Arabia. The company said the platform supports more than one million users and investment portfolios globally.

“As AI becomes increasingly integrated into financial decision-making, transparency and explainability are no longer optional. Investors and institutions need to understand not only what recommendations are being made, but why they are being made. Trust in AI will ultimately depend on the ability to verify, challenge, and understand its outputs,” said Ivan Chelebiev, Founder and CEO of Chicago Global.

Chelebiev also participated in a panel titled “Who Should Allocate Capital?”, which examined the use of AI across venture investing, private markets and corporate finance, including the role of human oversight and institutional accountability as AI becomes more widely used in capital allocation.

Ben Charoenwong, Founder and Chief Scientist at Chicago Global and Associate Professor of Finance at INSEAD, participated in the “When AI Fails: Who Pays?” panel, which focused on liability, model oversight and responsibility surrounding the deployment of AI-powered financial systems.

“The financial industry’s challenge is no longer whether AI can make decisions, but how institutions can ensure those decisions remain accountable, auditable, and aligned with regulatory and fiduciary obligations,” Charoenwong said.

Alwaleed Alshuwaier, Director of Corporate Affairs at Ghaia Investment Holding, said: “Saudi Arabia is rapidly advancing as a hub for financial and AI innovation. As the Kingdom accelerates its Vision 2030 ambitions, ensuring transparency, accountability, and strong governance will be essential to realizing the full potential of AI in finance.”

The collaboration between Ghaia Investment Holding and Chicago Global is focused on providing Saudi financial institutions with access to AI-based investment intelligence technology as the use of artificial intelligence across the country’s financial sector expands.
