Major UAE airlines have begun gradually restoring operations following regional airspace disruptions, with carriers implementing reduced schedules while prioritizing passenger safety and operational stability.
Dubai-based Emirates said it is currently operating a reduced flight schedule following the partial reopening of some regional airspace for the safe conduct of commercial flights. The airline confirmed it will operate more than 100 flights to and from Dubai on March 5 and 6 to transport passengers to their destinations, while also carrying essential cargo including perishables and pharmaceuticals.
The carrier added that it will progressively rebuild its schedule depending on airspace availability and operational requirements. Emirates emphasized that safety remains its highest priority and noted it continues to monitor developments closely.
Meanwhile, flydubai confirmed that it has resumed operations across its network with a reduced schedule as airspace restrictions begin to ease. A spokesperson for the airline said the company is continuously updating its schedule and adding flights as restrictions are lifted.
The airline also warned that some journeys may take longer than usual due to temporary rerouting of flight paths. Customers have been advised not to travel to the airport unless they hold a confirmed booking or official confirmation of a rebooked flight.
In Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways announced that it will resume a limited commercial flight schedule from March 6, operating services between the UAE capital and several key international destinations.
The decision was taken in coordination with relevant authorities following extensive safety and security assessments, the airline said.
Destinations scheduled to operate between March 6 and March 19 include major global hubs such as London Heathrow, New York JFK, Paris, Frankfurt, Toronto, Milan, Madrid, Riyadh, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul, among others. All services remain subject to operational approvals and may be adjusted depending on regional airspace conditions.
Etihad added that all other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain temporarily suspended.
