Shayne Nelson is a veteran banking executive with more than three decades of leadership experience across retail, corporate, private, and Islamic banking.
He served as Group CEO of Emirates NBD for 12 years, leading one of the Middle East’s largest banking groups through a period of significant growth and transformation.
Nelson currently serves on the boards of several financial institutions, including Emirates Islamic, Emirates NBD Capital, DenizBank, and RBL Bank, and is a member of Mastercard’s Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa Advisory Board. Before joining Emirates NBD, he was CEO of Standard Chartered Private Bank in Singapore.
A Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Nelson is also an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Managers.
