Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s “New Horizons” Initiative Expands to 27 Global Markets

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s “New Horizons” initiative has expanded to 27 global markets across Asia and Africa to support the overseas expansion of Dubai-based companies.

Speaking to WAM during a trade mission in Ethiopia, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said the initiative facilitated more than 6,000 meetings between Dubai companies and international firms by the end of 2025.

Lootah said the meetings helped open new export and investment opportunities and strengthened ties with foreign chambers of commerce and government entities. He added that the program will continue to be developed to improve direct communication channels for member companies.

Regarding the selection of Ethiopia, Lootah said bilateral trade between Dubai and Ethiopia rose from US$454 million in 2013 to about US$6.1 billion in 2025, citing rapid growth in the Ethiopian market and increased international confidence in Dubai-based companies.

Launched in 2023, the New Horizons initiative supports Dubai Chamber of Commerce members in expanding into key global markets through workshops and targeted trade missions, providing opportunities to gain insights, connect with stakeholders, and explore international markets.

In 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce recorded AED356.5 billion in member exports and re-exports, a 15.1% increase from AED309.6 billion in 2024.
