The Knowledge Fund Establishment (KFE) has renewed its partnership with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), which will contribute AED11 million to support the Dubai Schools project during the 2026-2027 academic year.

The commitment marks the third consecutive year of support from DIB and forms part of efforts to expand access to affordable, high-quality education for Emirati students while supporting the development of future national talent.

According to KFE, the partnership is aligned with broader goals to provide students with future-focused learning opportunities in an environment that promotes innovation, excellence, and national identity. The initiative also supports the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, Dubai Economic Agenda D33, and the Education 33 Strategy.

The contribution underscores the role of public-private sector collaboration in advancing education and human capital development, while also supporting Emirati families during the UAE’s Year of the Family.

Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, Chief Executive Officer of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, said DIB’s continued support reflects a long-term commitment to empowering future generations and investing in initiatives that create lasting social impact.

He added that the partnership highlights the banking sector’s role in supporting national development priorities and strengthening investment in education as a driver of future growth and competitiveness.

Obaid Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer of DIB, said the bank views investment in education as an investment in the country’s long-term prosperity, resilience, and social development. He noted that the partnership carries additional significance during the Year of the Family, helping provide Emirati students with access to quality education while supporting families and future generations.

KFE also outlined plans to expand the Dubai Schools project, including the second phase of the Nad Al Sheba campus expansion, which is expected to be completed in July. The project aims to increase overall capacity to 15,000 students by the 2032-2033 academic year.

The expansion is part of wider efforts to build a sustainable education ecosystem aligned with Dubai’s long-term development goals, with private-sector contributions continuing to play a key role in supporting the initiative’s growth and accessibility.
