Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa is the Group CEO of Qatar National Bank (QNB), a position he has held since 2018. He leads the Middle East and Africa’s largest banking group, overseeing its operations across more than 28 countries. Under his leadership, QNB has advanced its digital transformation strategy through investments in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and blockchain technologies. He also serves on the boards of several QNB Group entities. Under his leadership, QNB reported net profit of QAR17 billion in FY2025, with total assets reaching QAR1.39 trillion. The bank maintained a cost-to-income ratio of 23.3% and a capital adequacy ratio of 19.3%, issued US$1.1 billion in sustainable bonds, and acted as lead coordinator for Qatar’s inaugural $2.5 billion sovereign green bond. QNB operates more than 900 locations and 5,000 ATMs with over 30,000 employees worldwide.
