Hisham Okasha has been the CEO of Banque Misr since September 2024. Previously, he served as Chairman of the National Bank of Egypt from 2013 to 2024 after joining the bank as Deputy Chairman in 2008, where he supported its restructuring under the banking reform program led by the Central Bank of Egypt.
He began his banking career at Arab Bank (Egypt) in 1992 and later headed the Offsite Supervision Sector at the Central Bank of Egypt in 2007. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Computer Science and a Master of Public Administration from The American University in Cairo.
