Sheikh Hamdan Launches ‘Dubai-it’ Award to Recognize High-Impact Entrepreneurs, Businesses, and Projects

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has launched the Dubai-it Award, a new annual recognition program celebrating individuals, projects, companies, and institutions that transform bold ideas into exceptional achievements through outstanding execution.

The award builds on the broader Dubai-it initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to embed Dubai’s philosophy of action across government and business. Rooted in turning ambition into achievement, ideas into reality, and vision into tangible results, the initiative promotes a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and rapid execution.

Announcing the launch, Sheikh Hamdan said the Dubai-it philosophy has become a driving force behind innovation and progress in the emirate, inspired by the vision of Sheikh Mohammed and Dubai’s development journey. He noted that the annual award will recognize those who embody this approach by delivering exceptional results, while also inspiring the next generation of transformative success.

The award recognizes achievements that demonstrate excellence, distinction, and measurable impact delivered in record time. It aims to celebrate organizations and individuals that translate ambitious ideas into tangible outcomes while fostering a culture centered on accomplishment and exceptional implementation.

Award categories span government, technology, real estate, education, business, and entrepreneurship, recognizing outstanding projects, institutions, and individuals. Among the categories are Government Project Delivering Exceptional Results in Record Time, Technology-Driven Project Transforming Ideas into Impact, Real Estate Project Creating Exceptional Urban Impact, and Educational Project Embedding the Dubai-it Philosophy.

The awards also recognize high-performing government institutions and companies that have achieved significant organizational transformation, alongside individual honors for government project managers and entrepreneurs who have successfully turned promising ideas into ventures with meaningful impact.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said the award reflects Sheikh Mohammed’s vision that ideas derive value only when transformed into initiatives and projects that improve people’s lives and help shape the future. He added that the launch of the Dubai-it Award reinforces Dubai’s work philosophy of converting ambition into accomplishment and ideas into tangible results delivered with excellence, precision, and speed.
