Dubai CommerCity, the region’s first free zone dedicated exclusively to digital commerce, is investing more than AED1.8 billion in the second phase of its expansion, with projects scheduled for delivery between the first quarter of 2027 and the fourth quarter of 2028.

The expansion will add more than 91,000 square meters of new space across the free zone’s Business, Logistics and Social clusters. The expansion builds on strong demand at Dubai CommerCity, where occupancy across existing office, logistics, and retail spaces has reached nearly 96%.

The Business Cluster will add new office space across six buildings, with shell-and-core, fully fitted, and flexible plug-and-play options. The buildings are scheduled for delivery in two phases, beginning in the first quarter of 2027 and the second in the first quarter of 2028.

Meanwhile, the Social Cluster will add retail, restaurant, cafe, and service spaces.

The Logistics Cluster will add The Hive, a 5,600-square-meter vertical logistics facility with 181 flexible units, climate-controlled fulfillment areas, digitally managed loading zones and last-mile delivery facilities.

Dubai CommerCity said e-commerce parcels shipped increased 152% over the past year, while cargo volumes processed through its DCC Way transit platform rose 14% in 2025.

“This expansion reflects the growing investor confidence in Dubai’s economic ecosystem and its ability to attract high-quality investments while providing an advanced economic infrastructure that responds to rapid shifts in emerging sectors,” H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), said.

Dubai CommerCity is a joint venture between DIEZ and Wasl Group.
