Jaywan, the UAE’s national card payment scheme, is now available on DubaiPay, expanding the payment options available to users of the platform.

Dubai Finance and Digital Dubai announced the activation after operational testing confirmed DubaiPay’s readiness to process Jaywan card transactions.

The first government transaction using Jaywan on DubaiPay was completed through the Dubai Cares donation service.

Jaywan is operated by Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE. The national payment network can be used for transactions at point-of-sale terminals, ATMs, and e-commerce platforms.

The integration adds Jaywan to the payment options available through DubaiPay and connects Dubai government payment infrastructure with the UAE’s national payments network.

The move also supports the Dubai Cashless Strategy, which aims to increase the share of cashless transactions across the government and private sectors to 90% by the end of 2026.
