The 100 NRIs – 2026: Satya Anand, Group President, US, Canada, Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), Marriott International (effective 28 March 2026)

Satya Anand is the newly appointed Group President for the US, Canada, and Caribbean & Latin America (CALA) at Marriott International, effective 28 March 2026. This promotion reflects the organisation’s confidence in his exemplary leadership and proven ability to drive strategic growth and operational excellence across major global markets.

Previously, Anand served as President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) from October 2020, overseeing Marriott’s extensive hotel portfolio spanning 78 countries and territories and comprising 28 brands. In this role, he led regional strategic initiatives, expansion, and operational excellence, strengthening Marriott’s presence across dynamic and diverse markets.

Anand began his career with Marriott International in 1988 and has held a series of senior leadership positions. From July 2016, he served as Chief Operations Officer for Luxury & Southern Europe and Global Design EMEA, managing operations for Marriott’s luxury portfolio in Europe while leading the Global Design team to foster innovation and maintain brand consistency. He previously held the role of Europe Chief Financial Officer for four years and has also served as Area Vice President for Western and Central Europe, along with multiple Cluster General Manager, operations, and finance positions.

Educated in Bangalore, Anand earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from MES College of Commerce (1982–1985). In 1988, he completed a Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management from the Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management in Semmering, Austria.

Anand’s extensive experience and strategic vision continue to shape Marriott’s global growth and operational excellence. His appointment to lead the US, Canada, and CALA markets aims to unify these regions under a single structure, fostering collaboration and operational synergy across the hemisphere.
