The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology has launched Factory Forward UAE, a national initiative bringing the country’s industrial technology transformation programs together under one platform.

The initiative supports the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and Fourth Industrial Revolution tools, to help UAE factories adapt to change, improve efficiency and competitiveness, and develop high-value national industries.

“Factory Forward UAE builds on the ministry’s work to accelerate technology adoption. It will help more manufacturers use the program and support available and encourage them to apply advanced technology in their operations,” Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, said.

Factory Forward UAE aims to help manufacturers assess their technology needs, identify opportunities to improve operations, and connect with technical experts, technology providers, training programs, and financing. The platform will also share examples of factory transformations and practical technology applications.

It brings together programs and support that have served more than 700 factories, including more than 620 assessed through the Industrial Technology Transformation Index.

The initiative is supported by public and private sector partners that will provide technology assessments, specialist advice, training, and access to funding to help manufacturers launch and expand their technology projects.
