OpoFinance, an online forex and contracts for difference (CFD) broker serving clients across MENA and English-speaking Africa, has rebranded as OPO as the company marks five years of operations.

The company unveiled the new identity at Forex Expo Dubai, held on September 22 and 23, alongside a preview of a new digital platform scheduled to launch later this year and technology designed to provide traders with access to their trading data and analytical tools.

OPO Group Ltd, the company behind the brokerage, was founded in 2021 and provides access to more than 300 instruments across forex, metals, commodities, indices, stocks and cryptocurrencies. Its supported trading platforms include MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView and its proprietary OpoTrade platform.

As part of its technology offering, OPO has introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection that allows clients to connect their OPO trading accounts with AI assistants including ChatGPT and Claude. With permission from the user, the connection can provide access to account information, trading history and performance data through natural-language queries.

The connection is read-only and cannot place, modify or close trades or transfer funds. According to OPO, it does not receive a client’s OPO username or password, and users can revoke access through their OPO Client Area.

Yasi Pazooki, Chief Operating Officer at OPO, commented: “Five years ago, we set out to build a broker that traders in this region could rely on. OPO is the next step in that journey. We are bringing together the brokerage, technology and analytical tools traders need under one identity, while giving them new ways to understand their own trading data.”

OPO said additional products are planned as part of its technology roadmap, including an IB Dashboard expected to launch in November.

OPO is regulated by South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles and provides services in Arabic, English and Farsi.
