UAE, Lebanon Sign Agreement to Establish Joint Business Council

The Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon (FCCIAL) signed an agreement to establish the UAE-Lebanon Joint Business Council during the UAE-Lebanon Business Forum in Beirut.
The council will provide an institutional platform for businesses in both countries to exchange market information, identify trade and investment opportunities, and develop partnerships and joint ventures.
The agreement was signed by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), and Mohamed Choucair, Chairman of FCCIAL.
The forum brought together government and business representatives to discuss bilateral trade and investment, market access, and opportunities for private-sector cooperation.
Four other memoranda of understanding covering several economic areas were also signed during the forum.
The UAE delegation included Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI; Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; and Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI.
