UAE Non-Oil Trade With BRICS Countries Grows 28.5% to Over US$312 Billion

The UAE’s non-oil trade with BRICS countries exceeded US$312 billion in 2025, an increase of 28.5% from 2024, according to Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade.

The figure accounted for more than 30% of the UAE’s total non-oil trade, Al Zeyoudi said in a statement through WAM.

The UAE participated in the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, India, with a delegation headed by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Al Zeyoudi said the country’s participation reflected its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and supporting development and peace efforts.

He highlighted the bilateral discussions held on the sidelines of the summit, saying that growing trade indicators reflect further opportunities for economic cooperation with BRICS countries, citing their large markets, young populations, expanding economies and advanced industrial bases.

Al Zeyoudi also stressed the role of technology and innovation in BRICS economies, saying advances in technological applications and major companies could support knowledge exchange and cooperation in future-focused sectors.

He added that the UAE seeks to use the summit’s discussions to facilitate trade and expand its free trade agreements and comprehensive economic partnerships.
