Abu Dhabi-based big data analytics company Presight has announced the first six AI startups selected to receive investments from the US$100 million Presight–Shorooq Fund I (PSFI) for developing next-generation intelligent systems.
Launched in partnership with investment firm Shorooq, the fund provides early-stage capital and strategic support to AI companies from around the world.
“These first investments reflect that conviction – spanning secure AI infrastructure, vertical intelligence platforms for capital and industry, and edge-native systems,” said Magzhan Kenesbai, Chief Growth Officer of Presight. “Each of these companies is building technology designed for integration into complex, regulated environments.”
The first six investments include AMI Labs (Advanced Machine Intelligence), a Paris-headquartered company founded by former Meta Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun, developing AI that can understand the physical world and learn cause and effect for applications across manufacturing, aerospace, robotics, and biomedical industries; NodeShift, which provides secure AI platforms that allow enterprises to deploy AI models while keeping all data within their own infrastructure; and Hebbia, which enhances institutional research and financial workflows in regulated capital markets.
The other three companies are Candid Intelligence, which uses AI to optimize procurement and bidding in infrastructure and public-sector projects; Crunched, a firm that turns complex market and company data into faster, actionable insights for investors; and Blue, which develops voice-powered AI that can complete tasks directly on phones without relying on APIs.

The investments are under Presight’s AI Innovation Ecosystem, which combines funding, incubation, and R&D to accelerate next-generation AI technologies into deployable intelligent systems. Startups participating in the ecosystem gain mentorship, access to high-performance computing, commercialization pathways, and technical integration support, ensuring solutions are ready for complex, regulated environments.
“We were most impressed that these founders are pushing the boundaries of what AI can do – from giving every app a voice interface to automating billion-dollar industries – and thereby allowing us to back varying theses across the AI stack,” said Dr. Bilal Baloch, Partner at Shorooq.
