Walid Mezher is Co-CEO Middle East and Head of Markets, MEA, at Barclays, where he oversees the firm’s Markets, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Private & Wealth Management businesses across the region. He also leads the bank’s regional strategy, growth, and innovation initiatives. With nearly two decades at Barclays, he has been a member of the regional management team since 2017.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Managerial Economics from American University of Beirut, an MBA in Finance from Ecole Superieure de Gestion (ESG) in Paris and an MSc in Finance from ESCP-EAP. He also holds an Islamic Finance Qualification.
