Emirates Development Bank (EDB), the UAE government-owned financial institution, has launched the Future Founder Program 2026, a youth initiative aiming to equip students with entrepreneurial, leadership, and business skills.
Running from July 6-August 21, 2026, the program is open to students aged 17-21 of all nationalities. It is designed to provide participants with practical exposure to entrepreneurship through workshops, leadership sessions, business simulations, and masterclasses led by industry professionals.
“The EDB Future Founder Program reflects our commitment to investing in young talent as a cornerstone of the UAE’s long-term economic vision,” Ahmed Mohamed Al Naqbi, Chief Executive Officer of EDB, said. “Through hands-on exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation, we are helping shape future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to a more diversified and competitive economy.”
During the seven-week summer training, participants will receive training in idea generation, problem-solving, financial literacy, innovation, and business model development. The program also includes case studies and real-world business scenarios designed to expose students to how organizations operate and adapt in competitive markets.
“Empowering the youth is central to our strategy at EDB. The Future Founder Program is designed to build a strong pipeline of innovative thinkers and capable leaders who are ready to drive the UAE’s economic ambitions forward,” said Noora Al Ketbi, Acting CHRO and Director of Talent Development and People Operations at EDB. “We believe that by providing practical experiences and mentorship, we are laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and success.”
