Trescon has marked its 10-year anniversary, outlining its growth from a Bengaluru-founded startup into a regional platform delivery company operating across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
Mohammed Saleem (founder and Chairman), Mithun Shetty (Vice Chairman), and Swarnavo Roy (Managing Director) founded the company in 2016.
In 2021, Trescon opened its UAE office and established Dubai as its regional headquarters.
Today, in addition to its proprietary event portfolio, Trescon manages four core events within Dubai Future Finance Week, organized by Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC): the Dubai FinTech Summit, the Future Sustainability Forum, the Future Islamic Finance Forum, and the Reg3 Forum.
According to the company, the Dubai FinTech Summit has grown to attract more than 9,000 participants.
Trescon has also supported government-led initiatives including the World Police Summit, hosted by Dubai Police, and the Dubai Future Forum, organized by Dubai Future Foundation.
Trescon states that its operating model focuses on mid-to-large scale leadership platforms, typically convening between 3,000 and 10,000 senior stakeholders. Over the past decade, the company reports delivering more than 500 events across over 10 countries, engaging more than 250,000 attendees, facilitating over one million curated business connections, and working with more than 3,500 investors.
The leadership team, including Madhukar Dudda, Ummer Shameem, Sanjiv Singh, Anil Kumar, Edward Maben, Christine Davidson, Vimal Bhat, and Naveen Bharadwaj, oversees more than 250 professionals across multiple international offices.
“Our philosophy has always been simple: if a government entrusts you with a flagship platform, delivery must be flawless. At this level, the organiser’s credibility and the government’s reputation are inseparable,” said Mohammed Saleem, founder and Chairman.
With Dubai as its regional base and a recent expansion into Riyadh, the company said it is growing its presence across Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and African markets including Mauritius.
Trescon stated it is currently developing additional large-scale, government-aligned platforms focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, STEM, and deep technology sectors.
“Grateful to Dubai for providing the proving ground for our government-partnership model. As we enter our second decade, we are scaling that framework across high-growth economies aligned with future technologies, sustainability and capacity building,” said Naveen Bharadwaj, Group CEO.
