Majid Al Futtaim, the Emirati-owned, diversified lifestyle conglomerate that operates across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, is giving UAE-based small and medium-sized enterprises free access to retail space and marketing support across its malls and lifestyle destinations. The announcement comes as part of a new initiative aimed at helping local brands scale.
The platform, Ma’an by Majid Al Futtaim, was developed in partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. The company has announced its first cohort, including 27 UAE-based creative businesses.
The selected SMEs will be placed across Majid Al Futtaim brands including THAT Concept Store, Crate & Barrel, VOX Cinemas, Activate and iFly at City Centre Mirdif.
“Integrating local creatives across our malls and entertainment destinations is a natural extension of how we support homegrown businesses and nurture the next generation of retail innovators,” Khalifa Bin Braik, CEO, Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management, said.
The selected brands include Beit Walif, Bliss Flowers, BON PROTEIN BAR, Boonz, Cookie Barn, Drypt Coffee, Grawtitude PlantBased, Joy in Jars, Macromize, Maison Remie, Maison Tini, Matcha Theory FZCO, Nada Fayyad, Nomads Roastery, Nutty’nola, Oomi Coffee, Pluto, Proyo, Risen Café & Artisanal Bakery, Silsal, So Much Trouble, Studio Chloro, Superfoods On The Go (OTG), The Fix Coffee, Wellness Works UAE, Zaid Farouki and 530 Carats.
Majid Al Futtaim said Ma’an is designed to reduce barriers to market entry by giving businesses exposure in high-footfall locations at no cost. The company added that the initiative will expand in phases across its shopping malls, retail and entertainment portfolio, with more businesses to be announced.
The program opened for applications in April 2026 and is open to UAE-based SMEs that have been operating for at least 12 months and have a “compelling brand story.”
