UAE Opens Registration for Seventh Cohort of Artificial Intelligence Program

The UAE has opened registration for the seventh cohort of its Artificial Intelligence Program, with this year’s edition focusing on Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.
The program, running from September 2026 to January 2027, is open to employees from government and semi-government entities, as well as the private sector, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Office announced.
Led by the National Program for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, the program will offer separate technical and professional tracks covering the development, application and governance of AI systems.
The latest cohort will include five specialized modules covering generative AI and agentic AI, data strategies for machine learning, and the development and governance of agentic AI systems.
The Technical Track is intended for developers and engineers with advanced AI expertise and will cover AI architecture, programming, model development and practical experimentation.
Meanwhile, the Professional Track is aimed at leaders, strategists, and non-technical professionals. It will focus on the strategic use of AI, governance, technology vendor assessment, and planning for digital adoption.

Participants will learn from international academics and experts, including Nigel Mehdi, a fellow at Kellogg College at the University of Oxford; Kashif Rajpoot, professor of medical AI at the University of Birmingham; David Johnson, professor of information systems at Uppsala University in Sweden; and Farah Shamout, assistant professor of computer engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi.
More than 450 professionals from over 100 government and private-sector organizations have graduated from the Artificial Intelligence Program since its launch, according to the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Office.
